I Want a REAL Unicorn! is a picture book I wrote for my daughter. She asked me one day if any of my books had unicorns or princesses in them, and I replied “Errr…no”, so this one’s for her. It features a spoiled brat princess who gets her comeuppance. It’s the first of my own books where I’ve used a consistent colour palette throughout and I think it turned out really well – I think it helps to tie all the illustrations together and I’ll be using colour palettes more often from now on.
